Steps
- 1
Make a thick paste of maida and water. Add salt, vanilla essence, and beaten egg. Make it a smooth batter with flowing consistency and keep it aside. Add food color (optional)
- 2
For the filling: In a pan, heat 1 tbsp ghee. Add grated coconut and saute it for 2mins. Then add sugar and elaichi powder, mix well and saute for another 2 mins. Turn off the flame. The filling is ready. Add chopped dryfruits (optional)
- 3
Heat pan/tava, grease with ghee or oil, and pour 1/4 cup batter evenly. When it changes color, remove it. Do not cook it from the other side.
- 4
Now place the coconut filling on one side of the cover and then roll it lightly. Cut into pieces and enjoy the delicious coconut rolls.
