Chicken Cooked with Coke

My aunt taught me how to cook this a long time ago.
Some scum might rise to the surface while simmering, so skim it off if this is something that concerns you.
Chicken drumettes are fine for this recipe too.
The ratio of coke to soy sauce is 5:1. Adjust the amount of the sauce depending on the size of the chicken. Recipe by honeymit

Steps
- 1
Remove fat from the chicken thigh. Cook the skin side down in a frying pan until browned.
- 2
Remove any of the excess fat in the pan frequently with a paper towel.
- 3
When one side is browned, turn over the chicken. Cook the other side briefly.
- 4
Add coke and soy sauce, and simmer.
- 5
Bring it to a boil, and cover with a lid. Cook over medium heat to cook inside.
- 6
Once the chicken is cooked, turn over again. Cook over high heat to thicken the sauce.
