Ragada Patties

#For_Ragada----- Soak dry peas overnight. Put the soaked peas in pressure cooker add 2 Cup of water, 1/2 Tbsp Salt and turmeric powder and close the lid. Turn on the flame. Boil it for 4-5 whistles on medium flame. After whistles turn off the flame and let it cool down. Open the lid of cooker and mash it gently.

Heat a kadhai add little oil. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds and mustard seeds and cook it for few seconds then add 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder and mix it well. Add boiled peas and mix well. Add little water to make it thin and add 1/2 tbsp salt and mix it well. Let it come to boil. Once it starts boiling, turn off the flame. Ragada is ready now.

#For_Patties---- In a mixing bowl, grate the boiled potatoes. Add 1/2 tbsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tbsp salt, dry mango powder, cornflour and mix everything well. Grease palm with oil. Take small portion of mixture and roll it.

Turn on the flame, heat a tawa and add little oil and spread it. Put the tikkis on tawa and cook it on medium flame for 2-3 minutes and flip it. Cook it for another 2-3 minutes. Once it has turned golden brown, take it out in a plate. Patties is ready now.

#For_Serving---- Put tikkis in a serving plate. Put dry peas on it. Add tomato, green chili, onion. Then add curd, green Chutney and sweet tamarind chutney. Then sprinkle roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and salt. At last garnish with sev bhujiya and coriander leaves on top. Now ready to serve.
