An awesome, easy and quick dessert to be serve in the breakfast as a snack or in the lunch box for kids. A party recipe or a quick dessert in the winter nights.
Steps
- 1
This is an absolutely awesome delicious and quick recipe. It's easy to make and loved by everyone either kids or adults.
- 2
For the filling wash and dice the apples you can even peel them if you like. In a pot add butter when it melts add the diced apples and stir add the sugar cinnamon and salt and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes when it start to release water then put the flame on high and cook. Stir in between so that it couldn't burn.
- 3
Skip the salt if you are using salted butter. You can use brown sugar in place of white sugar. If you don't like cinnamon then add 1/8 tsp of nutmeg powder in place of it. Now cook the apples till the water is completely dry and the apples are soft. After that transfer it in a bowl and allow it cool down completely. You can adjust sugar according to your taste or as per the sweetness or tartness of the apples.

Now here I'm using store bought puff pastry sheet you can even use your homemade puff pastry sheets. These sheets are easily available at any super market or confessionary shop. You can bought and store in the freezer and you want to use allow it to come on room temperature then use. For that dust little all-purpose flour on each sheet and keep them one upon another then start rolling them.
- 5
At first it will be difficult to roll but after 1-2 minutes it will become smooth. Roll only one side at a time if you are rolling upward then roll upward only and like wise the downward also. Don't roll on both sides together else it's layers will be uneven and will not bake properly. Roll in a square shape then cut it from the middle and keep both the parts one upon another and this time role it in a rectangle shape and then cut 10 almost equal squares from it.
- 6
Take one square roll it to make a perfect square if not then place a tsp of filling on it and fold it to make a triangle. Before folding eggwash the sides. Simply crack an egg in a bowl add 1tbsp water beat it then apply this mix on the sides of the square sheet and fold it in a triangle shape then press it with a fork on all sides and make a mark in the middle of the filled sheet so that the air easily pass out from it. Now adjust them on a parchment paper lined baking tray and eggwash them.
- 7
Now bake it in a preheated oven at 200℃ for 25-30 minutes or until the crust become brown if you like it soft then bake it for 3-4 mins less. Serve hot with some cream or ice cream or drizzle a sugar glaze on it or simply have it as it is. Enjoy it with a cup of tea or coffee with your loved ones.
Happy Baking😊
