Chatpati Awla Chutney 💚

I had gone on a short vacation recently and the resort I stayed in, had numerous Amla / Indian Gooseberry trees, laden with fruit, in the sprawling gardens. The manager saw me admiring them and promised to pack a few kilos to take back home. He kept his promise and I got back and made this chutney with the freshest & tastiest of organic amlas! 😋💝

Fresh, fresh Amla 😍

Wash the Amlas, Green Chillies & the Fresh Coriander, Min Leaves after sorting.

Deseed the Amlas & chop them roughly, roughly chop the green chillies & peel roughly chop the garlic.

Add the chopped amlas, green chillies, garlic cloves, zeera, sugar, salt & the freshly squeezed juice of a lemon to a mixer jar

Blend until smooth. You can add 2 tbsp water while blending to make a smooth paste.

Store in an air tight glass jar in the fridge. Serve with hot, desi snacks, pooris, patanthas or use as a sandwich spread
