Steps

Wash the potatoes properly. Peel and slice them into chips in water directly.

Soak them in water overnight adding pinch of alum in it.

Wash the chips again to remove extra starch.

Heat water add rock salt and boil the chips till 60 percent cooked.

Strain in a strainer. Spread on clean cloth and sun dry it for 2 days.

Fry the chips in hot oil sprinkle red chilli powder.
