Ingredients

  1. 4ripe bananas, frozen
    Freeze overripe bananas (good for smoothies)
  2. 2 tbsptahini
  3. 1/2 tspflaked sea salt
  4. 3dates
  5. sesame seeds, to serve

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel and freeze your bananas, at least 2 hours ahead.

    Freeze overripe bananas (good for smoothies)

    Place frozen bananas, tahini and salt into a food processor.

    Blitz until smooth.

    The banana will break down into little clumps at first.

    Keep stopping to scrape down the sides until smooth and creamy.

    Chop and add the dates, then pulse to mix in.

    Scoop into bowls, top with sesame seeds and serve. So good!

    Store any leftovers in the freezer.

Tips

Freeze overripe bananas (good for smoothies)

When I find myself with an overripe banana I won't use, I freeze it ready for ice-cold smoothies or frozen yoghurt (a good idea for berries too).
