Nabeedh or Nabidh or Nabeez is a traditional fermented drink from the Arabian Peninsula typically made from Dates steeped in water. It can also be made with dried Grapes though. This too was a favourite drink of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Aalehi Wa Sallam) and hence considered a Sunnah. It's traditionally made with either Dates or Raisins but never mixed. Basically it's an energizing drink.
It has many health benefits. It removes Acidity problems. Improves digestion and has a positive effect on our health.
It is basically an alkalizing tonic for the body and removes toxic wastes. It was the Prophet's favourite drink in Ramadan for Suhoor. He would consume it every morning and evening. Strain the drink and have it every morning. The Dates remaining can be used in Smoothies. Or can be eaten as well. There is absolutely no harm in it. But in Ramadan, it is best to enjoy only the drink. The soaked Dates can be used accordingly in Smoothies and Juices. A must have one in Winters because it keeps us warm.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
