Red Bell Peppers Stuffed with Tuna, Tomato, and Cheese

Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds, coat them with extra virgin olive oil inside and out, and season with salt and pepper.

Start filling them with a thin layer of Parmesan, then with the mixture of tuna, tomato sauce, the remaining grated Parmesan, salt, freshly ground black pepper, and oregano.

Place them in the center of the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 45 minutes, then increase to 450°F (230°C) for an additional 10 minutes.

5 minutes before finishing, remove the tray and add the shredded cheese for melting.
