Killer Sprite Dry Pork Adobo
https://www.mindas-kitchen.com/
Steps
- 1
Combine pork with garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce and sprite. Mix well. Marinate pork for a minimum of 3 hours. (would be so much better if you marinate overnight)
- 2
Separate the pork from the remaining marinade by draining the liquid. Set aside. Heat oil in a pan. Fry each side of the pork in batches. Continue until all pork has been fried. Remove from pot and set aside.
- 3
Add garlic to the same pot using the same oil. Sauté until the garlic starts browning. Add the minced onion. Add pork and mix it in with the garlic and onion. Pour the marinade and let it boil. Add dry bay leaves and whole peppercorn. Add water and let it boil on medium heat for 30 minutes.
- 4
Pour vinegar and knorr chicken cube or powder. Stir and simmer. Cover the pan and adjust heat to low. Continue cooking until the pork tenderizes. About 35 minutes.
- 5
Remove the cover of the pan. Add fish sauce. Stir and continue cooking in medium heat until the sauce completely evaporates. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve with warm rice.
