Beef and Bell Pepper Fajitas

Cut the beef into thin strips or fajitas and season to taste with the mentioned spices.

Slice the bell peppers, onion, and jalapeño into strips or julienne (optional: you can use jalapeño or skip the green pepper, depending on your spice preference).

In a deep skillet, add pork lard or oil (preferably lard) and heat until hot.

Add the beef strips and 1 clove of garlic to the lard/oil and cook until the beef is browned (let the water and juices from the beef evaporate).

Once the beef is well browned, reduce the heat to medium and add the vegetables and a splash of water, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Adjust the salt and pepper to taste.

When the vegetables look cooked, turn off the heat.

Serve with rice and refried beans.
