Ingredients

25 minutes
2 serves
  • 500 gramsBitter Melon
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tspCoriander powder
  • 1 tspchilli powder
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  • 1/4 tspAsafoetida

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Scrape the skin.
    Cut in a round shape.
    Add salt, mix it and leave it for 10 minutes.

    After resting,rub nicely,
    remove the salty water and wash it.
    Now add oil in a pan add Cumin seeds and asafoetida.
    Then add bitter Melon,mix with oil and cover the pan.
    Let it cook on slow flame.
    Stir in-between.(Do not add water)

    When the Subji is nearly done,
    Add chilli coriander and turmeric powder.mix it.
    Cover with lid till it is done completely.

    Switch off the flame.
    Transfer in the bowl.
    Enjoy the subji with chapati or bread.
