Ingredients

Hearty serving for 1 serving
  1. 1 packagecooked udon noodles
  2. 1 leafcabbage
  3. 1/3carrot
  4. 2hot dogs or sausages
  5. 1egg
  6. 1 tablespooneach oyster sauce and your favorite Japanese-style sauce (such as okonomiyaki or tonkatsu sauce)
  7. Up to 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  8. 1 teaspoonsugar
  9. Mayonnaise, as much as you like

Steps

    Mix together the ingredients marked with ☆ (oyster sauce, Japanese-style sauce, soy sauce, and sugar).

    Roughly chop the cabbage, cut the carrot into thin strips, and slice the sausages diagonally.

  3. 3

    Beat the egg well with 1 tablespoon of water.

  4. 4

    Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan, add the egg mixture, and scramble. Transfer the scrambled egg to a separate plate.

  5. 5

    Place the cooked udon noodles in a colander and loosen them under running water.

  6. 6

    Add a little oil to the same frying pan. Add the sausages, then the carrot, then the cabbage, and stir-fry over high heat.

  7. 7

    Add the udon noodles and the mixed ☆ sauce. Stir-fry until most of the liquid has evaporated. Once cooked, add as much mayonnaise as you like and mix well.

    I tried making it with pork instead of sausage. The flavor is still great, so I think it works well.
