Wakame and Onion Fritters

Crispy fritters made with wakame and onion using a batter of all-purpose flour and beer (or sparkling water). The onions turn sweet! You can also add whitebait or sakura shrimp for extra flavor.

Slice the onion and let it sit exposed to air for 15 minutes.

Rehydrate the dried wakame.

Squeeze the onion and wakame with kitchen paper until thoroughly dry.

Mix the all-purpose flour and sparkling water to make the batter.
☆ It should have a smooth, flowing consistency. - 5
Dip the ingredients in the batter and fry.
★ Fry until the sound and bubbles become small. - 6
Place on kitchen paper to drain the oil.
