Cooking Instructions
- 1
= Chicago Pizza Dough =
Add dry yeast to lukewarm water (about 104°F) and stir well. Let it sit for 30 minutes. - 2
Mix bread flour, salt, and the yeast mixture. Using a food processor is convenient.
- 3
Place the dough on a floured surface, knead it into a ball, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour for the first rise. You can also use a bread machine for the first rise.
- 4
= Pizza Sauce =
Blend all the ingredients marked with ● in a mixer. You can also use your favorite sauce. - 5
Place the dough on a floured surface, press it to release gas, reshape it into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rest for about 15 minutes.
- 6
Lightly sprinkle breadcrumbs over the entire bottom of a heatproof dish. This helps the dough release from the dish and adds a crispy texture.
- 7
Reshape the dough and place it in the breadcrumb-lined heatproof dish. Flatten the bottom thinly and shape the sides into a rim for the second rise (about 30 minutes).
- 8
Once the dough has risen and fermentation is complete, spread the pizza sauce...
- 9
Add your favorite toppings, season with salt, pepper, herbs, etc...
- 10
Bake in a 375°F oven for about 20 minutes. Once baked, remove from the dish.
- 11
It's puffed up nicely!
- 12
Toppings in the picture: Tear leftover meatloaf into large bite-sized pieces with a spoon, and add vegetables and cheese as toppings.

Iz's Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza Iz's Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza
Most versions of deep dish pizza really are only a thick piece of dough with some toppings on the top. This is in true Chicago style which is more like a pie, and yes there is a two crust version too. It's important to put the cheese at the bottom as it will burn if you put it on the top. I do like some on top as well, which is why I add some in the final minutes of baking. izawoodsman -

Easy Pizza with Pancake Mix & Tofu Easy Pizza with Pancake Mix & Tofu
Here's a recipe that shows how to make naan bread with pancake mix.. That's what I used to make this pizza dough.I used canned tomatoes for the pizza sauce. This is easily made and you can choose your own toppings. If you pan-fry the dough first, you can store leftovers in the freezer. If the tofu package says 300 g, use half. You could also use any remaining pancake mix to dust the dough instead of flour. Recipe by aramassan cookpad.japan
