4 cupsfresh blueberries, strawberries both, washed (you can make both mix berries sauce or make a separate in two pans choice is yours. I made both blueberry & Strawberry separate sauce)
2 tsplemon juice
2 Tbspsugar or to taste
3/4 cupheavy cream
2 Tbsppowdered or icing sugar
1 tspvanilla extract

In a small saucepan, combine strawberry,blueberries, lemon juice, granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons water.  
Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until strawberries,blueberries begin to break down and juices boil and thicken, about 5 minutes.

Remove from heat, and transfer to a small bowl. Place bowl in a larger bowl of ice water, and stir mixture occasionally until cold.

In a separate bowl, combine cream, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla.  
Beat until stiff peaks form.Divide among 4 dessert dishes, and spoon sauce first bottom of the dessert dishes/ glasses and tops with whipped cream then top of over the remaining sauce.  
Serve immediately.
