Ingredients

25 mins
2 people
  1. 180 gfusilli pasta
  2. 175 gshrimps
  3. 1/4 tspsalt
  4. 1 tbspoil
  5. 2 tbspbreadcrumbs
  6. For the alfredo sauce
  7. 1 tbspunsalted butter
  8. 1garlic clove minced
  9. 1 tbspplain flour
  10. 1 cupmilk
  11. 1/4 tspsalt
  12. 1/4 tspblack pepper
  13. 1/4 cupgrated parmesan cheese

Cooking Instructions

25 mins
  1. 1

Cook the pasta in salted water for 2 minutes less than the package instructions recommend.
Meanwhile, heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

Add in shrimps, season with salt, and pan-sear both sides until they turn opaque with a pink/orange colour (about 2-4 minutes in total). Set aside.

  3. 3

Using the same wok, cook the alfredo sauce. Melt butter and add in minced garlic, stir-fry until fragrant.

  4. 4

Stirring constantly, add in plain flour and milk. Stir until there are no lumps. Lower the heat, and season the sauce with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

Add in grated parmesan cheese and stir until well combined.

  6. 6

Drain the pasta and reserve a cup of pasta liquid (only necessary if the sauce gets too thick).

  7. 7

    Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  8. 8

Transfer the cooked pasta and shrimps back to the wok. Toss them with the sauce.

  9. 9

Place the shrimp alfredo pasta in a roasting pan, spread out evenly. Sprinkle breadcrumbs generously over the pasta.
