Jeera Rice with dal fry
Super combination. Simple yet tasty.
Steps

In a cooker heat oil and add cumin seeds. Add basmati rice and add water. Cook for 20 minutes until the rice is cooked properly.

In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds. Add finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown. Add crushed green chillies ginger garlic. Fry till raw smell goes. Add finely chopped tomatoes and cook till tomatoes are soft and mushy. Add salt to taste, red chilli powder turmeric powder cumin powder coriander powder garam masala powder.

Fry all ingredients very well. Add cooked toor dal and water as required. Cook for 10 minutes. Add finely chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.

Serve Hot jeera rice with dal fry
