Wash & cut green beans, chop the chili and thinly slice the brown onion.

Next, wash dried shrimps. Mince or finely crush using mortar and pestle. Prep the sauce & seasonings as well.

Heat 3-4 tbsp of neutral cooking oil in a pan. Add brown onion to the hot pan. Sauté for a minute over medium heat. Add shrimps and chopped chili. Sauté until fragrant for another minute or two.

Add the green beans. Cook over medium heat until they turn bright green with slight blistered or wilted skin. Season with dark soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. Continue to stir and cook to your desired doneness. Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly.

Serve warm with hot rice.
