High Protein Rohu Curry with Mustard Paste

My family enjoys this rohu fish with sarso bata/ mustard seeds masala paste. To increase the taste further, I have added, green chulai/ amaranthus/ Khada Saag in my state Odisha, in this time. This is my innovative recipe as I have used green amaranth stem and give the rohu curry a beautiful twist .My colleagues enjoyed the fish curry with steamed rice
High Protein Rohu Curry with Mustard Paste

Arrange the required ingredients first. Heat 2 Tbsp mustard oil and fry six pcs of marinated rohu fish from both the sides. Set aside.

In the same fry pan heat 2 Tbsp mustard oil, add ponch phutan and allow it to crackle. Add chopped onion, green chilli chopped garlic and green chilli. Saute till aromatic and onion are translucent.

Then add chopped tomato salt, a pinch of turmeric powder and boiled stems of saag. Cook on low flame till tomatoes are mushy.

Add the mustard masala paste and half a cup of water for gravy. Allow to boil. Add already fried fish to the mustard paste gravy and cook for a minute.

The rohu fish curry is ready to be served with steamed rice and salad. Thanks.
