Ingredients

  • 1 cupflour (about 120 grams)
  • 1 tablespoonghee or clarified butter
  • Water, as needed for kneading
  • Pinchsalt

Steps

    In a bowl, add the flour, salt, and ghee. Rub the flour well with your hands until the ingredients are combined.

  2. 2

    Gradually add water and knead until you get a firm, cohesive dough. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.

  3. 3

    While the dough rests, prepare the filling. You can use cheese, ground beef, or shredded chicken—whatever you prefer.

  4. 4

    Once the dough has rested, divide it into small balls. Roll each ball out with a rolling pin, place the filling in the center, and fold the edges to seal.

  5. 5

    Fry the samosas in plenty of hot oil over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, lower the heat and add the samosas. Fry, turning occasionally, until golden brown. Remove from the oil and drain on a strainer to get rid of excess oil, then transfer to a serving plate. Enjoy!
