Bengal Gram Dal Fritters Curry

Soak Chana Dal Overnight.
Grind Dal into smooth paste by adding ginger and green chilli. - 2
Add salt + Nigella seeds + Turmeric powder to paste and mix well. Batter for Fritters is done.
Heat sufficient oil and start dropping small small quantity of batter and deep fry till golden brown. - 3
Chana dal Fritters is done, keep aside.

In heated pan add Oil, add Nigella seeds and allow to crackle. Then add potato cubes sauté for around 2 minutes. Add tomato puree, add all spices + 2 - 3 tbsp Water and sauté till Oil is released.

Add 2.5 cup Water and salt and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add the Fritters and cook further for 2-3 minutes.

Simmer for around a minute and dish is done. Allow Fritters to soak in gravy for 15 - 20 minutes and then it is ready to serve.
