Fritters or Pakoras with shade dried Tender Tamarind Leaves. Chugur is the Urdu name for the Tender Tamarind Leaves. Isn't that simply amazing? Well! Yes! Of course! These are super delicious and delightful looking Fritters perfect for a homemade quick snack at Tea-time or Shaam ki Chai. Or even as an afterschool treat. These aromatic and flavourful Fritters are a bit on the tangy side.

Not only are they easily made, there are only a few common spices involved in making them. These go really well alongside some freshly brewed up Coffee or Tea or even a healthy glass of homemade Juice. It's a must have in this Season when it's cold outside especially in the early Winter evenings. These are a perfect accompaniment. And if served with some tantalizing Chutney or Dip, it's even more worthwhile and inviting. And with some already stored shade dried Tender Tamarind Leaves, it becomes even more easier. You just have to gather up the ingredients and get going. That's it. Relish these yummy Fritters with your loved ones and friends alike.

Enjoy Cooking with Zeen!

  2. 2

Drop small balls in hot oil as we do for the pakoras or fritters. Fry few at a time. Use a clean spoon if you cannot do it with your hands. Stay safe while frying. Fry until golden brown and crisp. Take care not to burn them. Keep an eye while frying. Keep turning at regular intervals to ensure that they are evenly cooked.

Homemaker by choice and a passionate cook by heart. An aspiring cook who actually never knew anything about Cooking until i became a mother myself. With Motherhood came the responsibilities as well and this was the turning point in my life.I started to learn the ABC's of cooking, taking help from my mother and my MIL. And time just flew. I spread my wings higher and higher. With my love for excellence and innovation, i stepped into a world of homecooks with my exposure to Cookpad one fine day on the social media. And there was no looking back since then and i have not only shared recipes here on this wonderful platform but also have made some lovely friends as well. Today iam successful because of my hard work, dedication and loads of good wishes of my family and my kids in particular.
