Ingredients

30 minutes
Serves 2 servings
  • 1/2 cupoats (dry roasted) (about 40 grams)
  • 1small beet (boiled and grated)
  • 1potato (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 teaspoongreen chili paste
  • 1 teaspoondried mango powder (amchur)
  • 1 tablespoonflattened rice (poha) powder (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for shallow frying

Steps

    In a bowl, combine the oats, mashed potato, and grated beet.

    Add the green chili paste, poha powder, dried mango powder, and salt. Mix well.

    Shape the mixture into patties by hand or using a cookie cutter.

    Heat a little oil in a pan (a mini uttapam pan was used here). Shallow fry the patties on low heat until golden and crispy on both sides.

    Serve hot with chutney, ketchup, or a yogurt dip.
