Beef Asado

The first time I tried this stew, I loved it. Now that I have this piece of beef, I’m going to use it to make this dish. I hope it turns out as delicious as the one I tasted!
Beef Asado
The first time I tried this stew, I loved it. Now that I have this piece of beef, I’m going to use it to make this dish. I hope it turns out as delicious as the one I tasted!
Steps
- 1
Place the beef, water, onion, garlic, oregano, and salt in a pressure cooker. Cook according to your pressure cooker’s instructions, then let it cool.
- 2
Cut the beef into medium cubes. In the broth, cook 2 or 3 Roma tomatoes, 1/4 onion, and 2 or 3 garlic cloves. If you like, add 1 serrano pepper or half a jalapeño. Once cooked, blend them with a little oregano, black pepper, and salt. Return the mixture to the broth and bring to a boil for a few minutes.
- 3
Boil 4 medium potatoes until just firm, then cut them into cubes similar in size to the beef.
- 4
Heat a little oil in a skillet. Add the potatoes, spreading them out, then add the beef and let everything brown.
- 5
Serve the beef in a deep or shallow bowl. Top with some lettuce, carrot, cucumber, avocado, and pickled onion. Serve a small cup of hot broth on the side to pour over everything. Enjoy!
