Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsmilk (about 480 ml)
  2. 1 piecefresh turmeric root
  3. 1 piecefresh ginger
  4. 1green cardamom pod
  5. 2whole cloves
  6. 1 stickcinnamon
  7. 6-7whole black peppercorns
  8. 1large piece jaggery or 2 tablespoons (about 30 grams)

    Gather all the ingredients for turmeric milk. Grate the turmeric and ginger.

    Heat the milk in a pan. Add the crushed black peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Cook for 2 minutes.

    Add the grated turmeric and ginger. Cook for another 5 minutes.

    Add the jaggery and stir until it dissolves. Once the jaggery is melted, turn off the heat. Turmeric milk is ready.

    Strain and serve.
