Steps
- 1
Prepare two bowls. In bowl number one soak some stale roll and set it aside. In second bowl add minced meat of your choice, an egg, seasonings, minced garlic, dill, water. Now, take soggy roll, squeez out the excess of water and add to the bowl with rest of ingredients. Set aside for a moment once again.
- 2
Chop an onion and fry till gold and add to the rest of the ingredients.
- 3
Combine well all ingredients together, next wet your hands, shape meatballs and coat each one by one in breadcrumbs.
- 4
Meanwhile heat the owen on 180*C and fill your baking tray with baking paper.
Fry meatballs on two spoons of oil for 2-3 minutes (each side) on medium heat. Later on, place meatballs on the baking tray and bake for 20 minutes. - 5
While meatballs are magically preparing itself, prepare some good beetroot salad as a side.
Take 4 boiled beetroots (good news: you will get them in every possible grocery store / supermarket in your area, so you will save some time - boiling raw, would take ages - literally). - 6
Grate beets, apples (good tip: wear an apron and gloves while grating beetroots - you will thank me later), thinly chop an onion add to the rest of the ingredients, add olive oil, sugar and pepper and mix - that's all. Place in the fridge to let the flavours blend.
- 7
Last thing is sauce. In my sauce I used dried plums because I was out of fresh fruits, but feel free to use fresh fruits. Both ways are amazing!
- 8
Chop dried plums, peel an apple and chop as well add to the pot, add honey, ginger, butter, water, marjoram, cinnamon and boil on small heat add more water if it's needed. Boil till ingredients will combine and till the fruits will break down a bit. If you wish you can use blender for smoother texture
- 9
Peel and boil potatoes with one teaspoon of salt for 30 minutes, drain potatoes, add dill, milk, butter and mash till smooth texture. Everything is ready to serving - Enjoy!
