  • 2 cupspuffed rice
  • 1/2 cupboiled black chana (If you don’t have boiled chana, you can use roasted chana as a quick option.)
  • 1/4 cupcucumber (chopped)
  • 1/4 cuptomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 cupcapsicum (chopped)
  • 1/4 cuponion (chopped)
  • 1–2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbspgreen chutney
  • Black salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsproasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tspchaat masala
  • Fresh coriander (for garnish)

    Take a large mixing bowl and add puffed rice.

    Add boiled black chana (or roasted chana) along with cucumber, tomato, capsicum and onion.

    Add lemon juice, green chutney, black salt, black pepper, roasted cumin powder and chaat masala.

    Gently mix so the puffed rice stays crunchy.

    Transfer to a serving bowl, garnish with coriander and serve immediately.

    ∆ Pairs wonderfully with lemon water or masala chai.

Tips

∆ Serve immediately for maximum crunch.

∆ Add a little soya sauce or extra spice powder for a different flavor twist.

∆ Chill the vegetables slightly before mixing for extra freshness.
