Ingredients

2 -3 people
  • Baby back ribs
  • 3 tbspflour
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tsppepper
  • 2 1/2cups
  • 2 lbsbaby back ribs
  • 1 tspgarlic powder
  • 1-2 tspbrown sugar
  • bbq sauce
  • Mac and cheese
  • 1 pound, 2 cups dryElbow pasta
  • 2 tbspbutter
  • 1 1/2 cupmilk or heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tbssalt
  • 2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsppaprika
  • Fries
  • 3 poundsthree russet potatoes
  • 3 tbsp(or enough for frying/air frying)oil
  • 1 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1 1/2 tspPaprika
  • Corn bread
  • 1 cupcorn meal
  • 1/2 cupflour
  • 1/4 cupsugar
  • 1 tbspbaking powder
  • 3/4 cupmilk
  • 2 tbspmelted butter
  • 1/4salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsmustard
  • 1 cupapple juice

Steps

5 hours - 7 hours
  1. 1

    Remove the thin membrane on the back of the ribs
    * This helps them get tender

  2. 2

    Rub a thin layer of mustard all over the ribs
    * Coat with BBQ rub evenly

  3. 3

    Place ribs on foil
    * Add apple juice (1/2 cup) into the foil (around the ribs, not dumped on top)
    * Wrap tightly so no steam esca

  4. 4

    Bake at 275°F for 2.5–3 hours

  5. 5

    Unwrap ribs carefully
    * Brush with BBQ sauce
    * Put back in oven at 425°F for 5–10 minutes
    (or broil until sticky)

  6. 6

    Boil macaroni in salted water
    * Cook until just tender (don’t overcook)
    * Drain and set aside

  7. 7

    In the same pot, melt butter
    * Add milk (or cream) and heat on low
    * Slowly stir in cheddar cheese until smooth and creamy
    * Add a pinch of salt
    * Optional: add a tiny bit of smoked paprika for that BBQ flavor

  8. 8

    Add cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce
    * Stir until every piece is coated

  9. 9

    Put mac in a baking dish
    * Top with a little extra cheese
    * Bake at 375°F for 10–15 minutes
    (until slightly golden and bubbly on top)

    If using fresh potatoes: cut into fry shapes
    * If using frozen fries: skip to cooking

  11. 11

    Put cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes
    * Drain and dry them really well (this is key)

  12. 12

    Air fryer method (best crisp)

    * 400°F for 15–20 minutes
    * Shake halfway through

  13. 13

    Right after cooking, toss with:
    * Salt
    * Optional paprika / garlic powder

  14. 14

    1. Prep oven

    * Preheat oven to 375°F
    * Grease a small baking dish or pa

  15. 15

    In a bowl, mix:

    * Cornmeal
    * Flour
    * Sugar
    * Baking powder
    * Salt

  16. 16

    Stir in:

    * Milk
    * Egg
    * Melted butter

    Mix until smooth (don’t overmix).

    Pour batter into pan
    * Bake for 20–25 minutes
    * Top should be golden brown

  18. 18

    Then put everything together on a plate and start eating your at home mission bbq

Tips

After you season the ribs and you put them in the oven to heat up you should start making the other stuff
