Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupbutter plus , softened  (1 stick) 6 tablespoons
  • 3/4 packedbrown sugar firmly cup
  • 1/2 cupsugar granulated
  • 2eggs
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cupsall purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoonbaking soda
  • 1 teaspooncinnamon ground
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt (optional)
  • 3 cupsoats Quaker (quick or old fashioned, uncooked )
  • 1 cupraisin (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat over to 350

  2. 2

    In a large bowl, beat butter and sugars on medical speed of electric mixer until creamy.

  3. 3

    Add eggs and vanilla extract, beat well.

  4. 4

    Add combined flour and baking soda, cinnamon and salt mix well.

  5. 5

    Add oats and raisins mix well.

  6. 6

    Drop dough by rounded tablespoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  7. 7

    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. cool 1 minutes on cookie sheet remove to wire rack cool completely.  Store tightly covered.
