Ingredients

  • For swirl:
  • 4 ouncescream cheese
  • 1/2 cupsour cream
  • 2 tablespoonssugar
  • 1 tablespoonall purpose flour
  • For Brownies:
  • 2/3 cupall purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoonbaking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 4 ouncesunsweetened bittersweet chocolate, chopped fine
  • 8 tablespoonsbutter, cut into cubes
  • 1-1/4 cupssugar
  • 2large eggs
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla

Steps

  1. 1

    Microwave cream cheese for 30 seconds until soft.

  2. 2

    Whisk with sour cream, sugar, and flour. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Heat oven to 325

  4. 4

    Make a foil sling for an 8 inch square pan with 2 foil sheets. Grease with spray.

  5. 5

    Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl.

  6. 6

    Combine butter and chocolate and melt in the microwave.

  7. 7

    Whisk sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a medium bowl.

  8. 8

    Slowly whisk melted chocolate into eggs.

  9. 9

    Add flour and fold together.

  10. 10

    Put 1/2 cup batter in a microwave bowl.

  11. 11

    Put the rest of the batter into the pan.

  12. 12

    Spread cream cheese on top.

  13. 13

    Microwave 1/2 cup batter for 15 seconds.

  14. 14

    Dollar it on top of the cream cheese.

  15. 15

    Swirl with an offset spatula.

  16. 16

    Bake for 38 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean, rotating pan after 14 minutes

  17. 17

    Let cool in pan for 1 hour

  18. 18

    Lift out of pan and cool for one hour.

  19. 19

    Cut with a serrated knife.

  20. 20

    Store in the fridge.
