Easy Pizza Sauce

Just an easy recipe I use for sauce when we make pizza. Makes a great dipping sauce too. It makes enough for 2-4 16" pizzas, depending how saucy you like them. For freezing it, see step 4.

Just an easy recipe I use for sauce when we make pizza. Makes a great dipping sauce too. It makes enough for 2-4 16" pizzas, depending how saucy you like them. For freezing it, see step 4.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Place the tomato sauce, tomato paste and water in a small saucepan. I use the can for the tomato paste to get the amount of water.
- 2
Stir it all together and add in the seasonings to taste. Stir in the sugar.
- 3
Simmer for 5 or so minutes, then remove from heat. Allow to cool before using.

If only making 1 pizza and you want to freeze the remaining sauce, just portion it out in mason jars (or other freezer safe container). Leave an inch of room at the top for expansion. Freeze for up to 3 months. To thaw, just take it out and place it in the fridge overnight.

Basic Pizza Sauce Basic Pizza Sauce
Weekends are for pizza! I like big pizzas. I wanted to make a simple sauce that brings out the flavor of the pizza toppings. If you're topping with cheese or ham, they already contain salt, so it's okay to reduce the amount of salt in the sauce. Reduce the sauce until it's no longer watery to bring out the sweetness of the tomatoes. Recipe by makkocafe cookpad.japan -

Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce
Storebought pizza sauce is expensive and doesn't last...I always have canned tomatoes on hand, so I made this easily using things I had in the house. The only key is to crush the tomatoes well, I guess. The sauce has a more complex flavor if you add herbs, but it's fine without them too. It's so easy to make, you'll be surprised. For 4 small pizzas. Recipe by wakwaksan cookpad.japan -

Homemade Pizza Sauce Homemade Pizza Sauce
I make a good deal of homemade pizza simply because everyone here loves it and living in rural Colorado, the nearest decent pizza place is 2 1/2 hours away. I'm really picky about the sauce and dough. The dough I have down but it took me some time to get the sauce to "my" liking. Yes I do use canned tomato sauce but I am ok with that. Enjoy! Bill
