Ingredients

  1. 2brown eggs
  2. 4bread wholegrain , sliced
  3. ¼ Teaspooncinnamon , finely ground
  4. 2 Tablespoonssugar
  5. 1/8 Teaspoonvanilla extract
  6. 1 Teaspoonwater , cold
  7. 1 Tablespoonbutter , softened
  8. 1 Tablespoonmilk , cold

    In a shallow dish, break in the eggs (french eggs preferred, they have an amazing orange coloured yolk)

  2. 2

    Whisk them well with the ice water, use a balloon whisk for this.

  3. 3

    Add the sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and cold milk. whisk well to combine. set aside.

  4. 4

    Melt the butter in a non-stick pan (i use a crepe pan for this)

  5. 5

    Dip the bread slices in the egg one at a time, and place on the crepe pan (you may trim the egdes of the bread if you so wish)

  6. 6

    Cook on each side for about 30 seconds, till the egg coating turns a lovely golden brown.

    Transfer to serving plates. bon appetit!

Hey! I'm a super busy mommy to 3 year old mixed gender twins. I guess that's enough said about the amount of time i get to spend cooking :). Most of the food I cook is about saving time, but not compromising on flavour. My biggest supporter is my hubby, who loves trying out new recipes and experimenting with different flavours. We love entertaining friends, and our home is the usual watering hole in our gang. So we try to come up with some innovative, fun food. Hope u guys like them!
