Tuna Spaghetti with Grated Daikon (さっぱり卸しのツナスパゲティ)

I've loved this spaghetti since 1989, when I first tried it at a restaurant in Japan. It took me several months to figure out the secret ingredient. Of course, I can't share that secret here. However, even without it, you can make this delicious spaghetti.

I've loved this spaghetti since 1989, when I first tried it at a restaurant in Japan. It took me several months to figure out the secret ingredient. Of course, I can't share that secret here. However, even without it, you can make this delicious spaghetti.
Steps
- 1
Gather all the ingredients.
- 2
Prepare the ingredients. While you do this, get ready for the next steps.
- 3
Cut the sushi nori into thin strips with scissors.
- 4
Slice the shiso leaf, if using.
- 5
Chop the tomato.
- 6
Grate the daikon radish about 5 minutes before serving. This is also an important step.
- 7
On a plate, layer the spaghetti, grated daikon, tomato, tuna, nori, and shiso in that order.
Done!
When eating, add soy sauce to taste.
