Ingredients

  1. 1(Apple mix)
  2. 4 largeGranny Smith (green) apples, seeded and sliced
  3. 1 tbspBrown sugar
  4. 2 tbspGolden syrup
  5. 2 tbspLemon juice
  6. 1(For topping)
  7. 3/4 cupSelf raising flour
  8. 1/2 cupDesiccated coconut
  9. 1/2 cupRolled oats
  10. 1/2 cupSoft brown sugar
  11. 100 gramsButter

Steps

  1. 1

    Pre heat oven to 180*C.

  2. 2

    In a large pan add apples, sugar, syrup and lemon juice. Cover and cook on low heat for around 10 minutes or until apples have softened.

  3. 3

    Remove from pan and spoon mixture into a well greased- small casserole dish.

  4. 4

    For crumble add flour, oats, coconut and sugar to a bowl and mix well. Melt the butter over and massage in to form a crumble.

  5. 5

    Sprinkle crumble over apples and place in oven. Bake for 25/30 minutes or until top is golden and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve with cream, ice cream or both! Yum!
