Ingredients

  1. 2.2 lbsprecooked hominy (about 1 kg)
  2. 1 clovegarlic
  3. 1/4onion
  4. Salt, to taste
  5. 2.2 lbspork or chicken (about 1 kg)
  6. 1/2 jarGuajillo Sauce (Itakatl or similar)
  7. radishes
  8. lime
  9. oregano
  10. tostadas
  11. sour cream
  12. shredded cheese
  13. lettuce

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse 2.2 lbs (about 1 kg) of precooked hominy.

    In a pot, cover the hominy with water. Add 1 clove of garlic, 1/4 onion, and salt to taste. Cook until the hominy is tender.

    In another pot, cook 2.2 lbs (about 1 kg) of pork, adding garlic, onion, and salt to taste, until fully cooked. You can also use chicken for a delicious variation.

    Remove the garlic and onion from the pot.

    Add the hominy to the pot with the cooked meat.

    Almost done!

    Pour in 1/2 jar of Guajillo Sauce (Itakatl or similar).

    Stir the ingredients with a spoon and let the mixture come to a boil.
