Snowballs cooling after first roll in sugar.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cupSoftened butter (2 sticks)
  2. 1 cupConfectioner's sugar (powered sugar)
  3. 1 tbspVanilla extract
  4. 2 cupFlour
  5. 2 cupFinely chopped walnuts
  6. 1as needed Confectioner's sugar (powdered sugar) for finishing

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cream butter and sugar

  2. 2

    Add vanilla and mix

  3. 3

    Add flour and mix well

  4. 4

    Add walnuts and mix

  5. 5

    Roll dough into small balls (about 1 inch diameter) and place on un-greased sheet

  6. 6

    Bake at 315°F for about 10 minutes just to firm (might take a little longer but don't let bottom get too brown)

  7. 7

    Roll in finishing confectioner's sugar and place on wire rack to cool

  8. 8

    After cool roll in more confectioner's sugar (if desired)
