lasagna for 10 or more people.

I am your nice average Jewish southern Irish English Scottish Italian girl. I have family recipes for truly amazing Italian but I have had to make them for special dietary needs. This is the decadent lasagna for an army my bastardized version.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Boil lasagna noodles until they are almost done take them out a minute or two early so your pasta doesn't turn to mush from all the liquid.
- 2
The sauce is simple enough brown the meats with onions and garlic feel free to add mushrooms or sun dried tomatoes artichoke hearts etc
- 3
Drain grease from meat and pat with paper towels to get off extra grease onions should be translucent and garlic cloves softish
- 4
Combine meats and veggies and tomato paste sauce and diced and whole peeled and unseeded tomatoes
- 5
Cheese layer is special you must first make a basic bechamel sauce for that melt butter put in flour 4 cups heavy cream 2 teaspoons of kosher or sea salt and nutmeg. Also. You can add black pepper fresh ground to taste.
- 6
Combine ricotta eggs more heavy cream 1 package of 6 cheese Italian blend Italian herbs fresh basil 1 bag of parmesan cheese mix thoroughly
- 7
Combine bechamel sauce with ricotta cheese mix well until it's vs creamy dreamy and amazing. Please feel free to add sundries tomatoes etc I tend to love to experiment.
- 8
Layer noodles meat sauce and cheese layers until you run out of stuff completely.
- 9
On last layer cover with bag of mozzarella bag of 6 cheese Italian blend and a bag of parmesan.
- 10
Heat oven to around 375 cover within tinfoil and bake covered for about an hour keep a watch on it. When it's good and bubbly hot take off foil and melt cheese for approximately 10 minutes
- 11
This recipe makes enough to fill two giant deep tin catering pans like you would get at Costco it is made for feeding a lot of people.
- 12
Also please be aware this can be made vegetarian by using spinach zucchini and eggplant instead of meat.
- 13
You can make this healthy by using skim milk instead of cream ground turkey and low sodium Italian sausage as well as no salt added tomatoes or even fresh tomatoes. It is a grand undertaking but well worth it. It is creamy and rich and utterly affordable if you have to take a dish to a potluck or just a nice gathering or team dinner.

Lasagna Lasagna
Some people will prefer ricotta cheese over cottage cheese., but I prefer the cottage cheese. Lasagna is like spaghetti in the fact that individual recipes vary so much. I always say, "Try it my way and if you think it lacks something or you dont care for something in it, change it. Tweek it. Make it your own. Own it!" sandra53 -

This is my favorite lasagna recipe.Because of the long list of ingredients and steps, it might look difficult. But once you start cooking, it's actually easier than you think.Make sure to slowly prepare the white sauce over low heat. This recipe will yield quite a lot for lasagna, so use any leftovers on pasta the next day. Lasagna Lasagna
The best food is tied to memories. In this case, a lasagna I ate in a farmhouse overlooking Florence, on my first (and so far, only ☹️) visit to Tuscany almost two decades ago. I've spent the years since obsessively trying to recreate it. The memory's faded a bit now, but I think the recipe below is pretty darned close. Robert Gonzal -

Thimira's homemade lasagna. Best with plenty of parmesan and fresh mozzarella instead of provolone. Served 75 silverware and maybe 15 to-go. Daniel Reichardt
