Ingredients

  1. 1 largechicken breast fillet (or left over chicken)
  2. 1 largeonion
  3. 6carrots
  4. 6savoy cabbage leaves
  5. 4celery stalks
  6. 2chicken stock cubes
  7. 125 gramsred lentils
  8. 250 gramsgreen split peas
  9. 250 gramsyellow split peas
  10. 2 pintswater
  11. 2 tbspoil

Steps

  1. 1

    You must soak your yellow and green split peas for 24hours before you make your soup.

  2. 2

    Slice chicken into strips. Brown in pan using a oil of your choice. Once chicken is done add half your onion and fry for a few mins.

    Add water. Add the rest of your ingredients.

  5. 5

    Bring to the boil. Then simmer for 30 mins, blend and serve.
