Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupspry (vegetable shortening)
  2. 1/2 tspsalt
  3. 1 tspvanilla
  4. 1/4 cupsugar
  5. 1/2 cupbrown sugar, firmly packed
  6. 1egg, beaten
  7. 1/4 tspsoda
  8. 1 cupsifted flour
  9. 7 ozbar semi-sweet chocolate bar cut in large pieces
  10. 1/2 cupnuts cut

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine spry, salt and vanilla.

  2. 2

    Add sugars gradually and cream well.

  3. 3

    Add egg and beat well.

  4. 4

    Sift soda with flour.

  5. 5

    Add flour to cream mixture and mixed well.

  6. 6

    Add chocoate and nuts and blend.

  7. 7

    Drop from tablespoonon spry greased baking sheets.

  8. 8

    Bake in moderate oven 375° for 12 minutes.
