Pre heat the oven to 170°C, 340°F, Gas Mark 4. Grease an 18 cm (7 inch) cake tin

Mix flour and salt & rub in butter

Stir in sugar and fruit

Beat together the eggs and milk

Mix together to a soft consistency.

Place in a prepared tin & bake for about 50 minutes. Check if its cooked with a skewer

When cooked turn out on to a cooling wire. Store in an airtight tin or tin foil when cooled
