Preheat the oven to 350°F

Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper

Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy

Add eggs, one at a time and mix.

Add anise extract

In a separate bowl, combine flour and baking powder

Add 1/3 of the dry mixture, then add 1 tablespoon of milk and mix together.

Add another third and then another tablespoon of milk and mix together.

Mix in the remainder of the flour

Scoop the dough in 1 tablespoon dough balls and place on the cookie sheet

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (they won't be brown)

Mix icing ingredients together.

Dip cookie into icing to top and immediately top with sprinkles.

Allow icing to harden overnight
