Preheat oven 170°C;

melt the butter, sugar and vanilla essence in a sauce pan;

remove from heat;

add mashed bananas and stir thoroughly;

add egg and mix well;

stir in flour, add milk and mix thoroughly;

bake at 170°C for approximately 40-50 minutes. (or until a pick inserted comes out clean)
