Ingredients

  • Dry mixture
  • 1 cupAll purpose flour
  • 1 cupWhole wheat pastry flour
  • 2 tspBaking powder
  • 1/2 tspBaking soda
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 1/2 cupSugar
  • 5 tbspButter
  • Wet mixture
  • 2/3 cupSour cream
  • 2 tspVanilla extract
  • 1 largeEgg
  • 1/3 cupYogurt
  • Toppings
  • 1/3 cupChopped almonds
  • 1/2 cupDried apricots chopped
  • Glaze
  • 1/2 cupPowdered sugar
  • 2 tspOrange juice

Steps

1 hour 15 mins

    Sift dry ingredients together

  2. 2

    Mix all wet ingredients

  3. 3

    Cut butter into flour mixture

  4. 4

    Preheat oven to 375°

  5. 5

    Mix wet into dry

  6. 6

    Kneed on floured surface till single ball formed

  7. 7

    Flatten into circle and cut triangles

  8. 8

    Bake for ~15 minutes

  9. 9

    Mix powder sugar and orange juice till good glaze

  10. 10

    Drizzle glaze over cooled scones
