Ingredients

  1. 1 cupall-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cupconfectioners sugar
  3. 1/2 cupbutter-melted
  4. 1/4 cupchopped macadamia nuts
  5. Filling
  6. 1 cupsugar
  7. 2 tbspall-purpose flour
  8. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  9. 1/4 tspsalt
  10. 2eggs
  11. 2 tbsplemon juice
  12. 2 tspgrated lemon peel
  13. 2 tbspchopped macadamia nuts
  14. 1confectioners sugar

Steps

    This recipe is from Taste of Home Magazine.

    Preheat oven to 350°.

  3. 3

    Large bowl- mix flour, confectioners sugar, sugar, and melted butter until crumbly. Stir in nuts.

  4. 4

    Press into bottom and 1/2 inch up sides of greased 8x8 square baking dish. Bake 15-20 min. or until light brown.

    Meanwhile, for filling....small bowl- whisk sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  6. 6

    Beat in eggs, lemon juice, and lemon peel until blended.

  7. 7

    Pour filling mixture over hot crust. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 10-15 min. or until lightly browned.

  8. 8

    Cool completely. Cut into bars. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
