Ingredients

  1. 540 mgcan of navy beans
  2. 1/2carrot cut in half lengthwise and sliced in to 1-2 cm slices
  3. 1/2celery stick sliced 1-2 cm slices
  4. 1bay leaf
  5. 2all spice balls
  6. 1small onion chopped
  7. 1/2 tbsbocovo pepper (optional)
  8. 1 tspSalt or to your liking
  9. Pinchblack pepper
  10. 1 tbstomato paste
  11. 10-12parsley leafs lightly chopped
  12. 1/4 cupolive oil(olive oil is the secret here)
  13. 3 cupswater and some extra boiled water to top up if needed

Steps

  1. 1

    Ok here we go. In a pot ad the oil and the chopped onion and sauté till onion is tender do not let it get colour

    Now add the water and the rest of the ingredients except the tomato paste and bring to a boil

    Now you add the tomato paste and bring the heat to medium temperature and cook for about one hour

    At this point lower the heat to medium-low and cook without the lead till water reduces. I like to leave a bit extra water for dealing purposes 😋

  5. 5
