Smoked salmon is always a great ally when preparing tasty starters, and I have tried using it for several starter recipes (terrine, mousse, tartlettes) over the years. I came up with this super easy dish last year and it was really delicious. You can add a spoonful of crème frâiche to make it more creamy if you want to. Hope you like it :-)

  1. 200 grsmoked salmon
  2. 125 grnatural yoghurt
  3. 1/2lime
  4. few sprigsfresh dill
  5. a fewfresh chives
  6. 3 tspcapers
  7. to tasteSalt and black pepper

    Get the ingredients together. Grate the zest of half the lime

    Put all the ingredients except the capers in the food processor. Squeeze the half lime and put the juice in too. Put the lid on and blitz for a few seconds

    Add the capers and blitz again

    The final result will look like this. Not very atrractive but very delicious ;-) Try for salt and pepper and adjust accordingly

    Use to spread on small, thin toast slices like these, or to fill tartlets like in the main photo. Also great as a vol au vent filling. Enjoy with a very cold glass of white wine (or cava). Enjoy!!

Born in the UK, I came to Spain after graduating many moons and meals ago, and I'm still here. For me cooking is a great way to unwind at the end of the day. My recipes tend to be quite quick and simple and (mostly!!) healthy too. Also quite seasonal - I prefer buying fresh local produce as much as possible. When I have time, I love spending a few hours cooking, filling my kitchen with delicious smells and great music and then hosting family and friends for long happy meals, laughs, conversation and chilled white wine. I'm a great believer in the power and value of home cooking for our own health, happiness and wellbeing and those of our loved ones and since I joined the Cookpad team 11 years ago I am committed to helping to make everyday cooking more fun for people all over the World.
