Caramelized Leek

Caramelized leek goes great with pork and chicken. It also makes a great sauce for sandwiches, it gives a sweet but very leek concentrated flavor that is quite unique.
We kept this recipe simple. You can cook it for a few minutes or you can leave it a little bit more to make a more dense caramelized sauce.

Steps

Wash the Leek with plenty of water.

Mince the Leek and separate 3 ounces.

Place the Leek along with the Butter in a pan and cook at low heat.

Add the Brown Sugar.

Mix and stir while the sugar melts and caramelizes.

Add Salt and Black Pepper to taste.

Serve and enjoy. You can keep this in the fridge for a week.
