Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1/2 cupwhole moong daal
  2. 1/4 cupchikpeas
  3. 1/4 cupBengal gram
  4. 1large onion chopped
  5. 1 tspginger paste
  6. 1.5 tspginger garlic paste
  7. 1tomato chopped
  8. 1.5 tbspcoriander- cumin powder mix
  9. 1 tspred chilli Powder
  10. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  11. 1 tspFenugreek seeds
  12. 1 tspkasuri methi crush
  13. To tastesalt and sugar
  14. As neededoil
  15. 2-3slitted green chillies

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak all the daals over night

  2. 2

    Strain the water and boil it ina pressure cooker with salt and turmeric powder

  3. 3

    Now heat oil and temper Fenugreek seeds

  4. 4

    As it splutter add onion slices saute well

  5. 5

    Add ginger garlic paste and saute well to remove the raw smell

  6. 6

    Now mix red chilli Powder,cumin coriander powder and pour into the pan

  7. 7

    Saute the masala and add the boiled daal mix well

  8. 8

    Add tomato,slitted green chillies and mix well

  9. 9

    Add sugar and water(remaining in the cooker)simmer

  10. 10

    Add kasuri methi crush and serve with Indian flat breads
