Steps

Heat oil and temper celery seeds and red chilli whole

Add the gourd cube and slices saute well adding salt and turmeric powder

Add ginger paste and saute just a minute

Pour the daal and water

Cover and cook till daal and the vegetables get properly cooked

Add sugar and bring to boil
- 7
Serve it at the start of a meal
